Returns & Repairs

To start the return/exchange procedure, please contact National Optical at rma@moticusa.com and request a return. Should the return be authorized, an RMA number will be provided, as well as further instructions for the return.  

All returns must be authorized by National Optical in order to insure proper credit and must be requested within 15 days of purchase. All returns may be subject to a 25% restocking charge and any cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee. For returns not due to National's error, the customer is responsible for all transportation fees related to the returned product. Should a return be granted, the purchase amount less shipping & handling fee and other applicable fees (restocking charge) will be deducted.

Products must be returned in their original packaging and in like-new condition. Should the product be in any other condition, National reserves the right to refuse to accept the return.

Prior to authorizing an RMA, please read the terms below and provide the information requested. 

  1. A 25% restock fee may apply to returned stock
  2. The item(s) must be returned in new stock condition
  3. If the item(s) are not returned complete and in new stock condition, they will be shipped back to vendor, at vendor cost
  4. Vendor is responsible for all associated shipping costs
  5. Tracking information must be provided as soon as possible
  6. National is not responsible for lost or damaged merchandise - The shipper is encouraged to purchase insurance
  7. Nothing can be returned without an RMA number which must be visible on the outside of shipping box

Additionally, please provide the following information:

  1. The purchase order or sales order number of the item(s) purchased
  2. The item(s) number: This can be the Motic number, Product Code or Mfr. Code
  3. The item(s) serial number, if possible

Should the product be defective, National Optical will either repair or exchange it. The customer must inform National Optical as soon as possible, and report it in the timeframe established in the general terms and conditions for product return or exchange.
